Volleyball has an interesting history dating back to the 19th century when the game was invented. William G. Morgan developed a new dynamic and fun game combining elements of basketball, tennis, baseball, and handball, and it soon became popular all over the World. The reason for the popularity of volleyball is the dynamic of the game which requires speed, agility, coordination, and tactical thinking. Over the years, the rules have been changed and adapted to make the game as exciting as possible, but the basic essence of the game has remained the same – teamwork, quick reaction, and fun for players and spectators.
